Inspired by rum casks historical trips between the New World and the Old Continent, the Transcontinental Rum Line highlights the fact that from the beginning of its existence, rum has always been shipped to Europe for nautical, economical and technical reasons.
The TCRL single casks series represents the oldest rums ever bottled by La Maison du Whisky.
This funky rum was produced in a pot still from long-fermented molasses. It has been distilled in 2012 in the heart of Jamaica, in the marvelous Trelawny Parish. Aged under a tropical climate for more than 3 years in an ex-Bourbon barrel, it was then sent to Europe for another 4 years. There, it was transferred into a 300L 1st fill Cognac cask.
PROFILE: Fruity and rich.
NOSE: Mineral notes, light polish.
PALATE: Banana, frangipane, notes of rancio.
FINAL: Winy and woody notes.
