The Caol Ila 18 Year Old 2006 Refill Hogshead #307354 is an exceptional, single-cask Islay single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Elixir Distillers under their prestigious The Single Malts of Scotland (SMoS) range. Distilled in 2006 and matured for 18 years in a single refill hogshead, this limited edition is bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.5% ABV without chill-filtration or added coloring. 

This expression is highly praised by connoisseurs for its classic, stripped-back Islay character. Because it was aged in a refill hogshead, the wood does not overpower the spirit, allowing the raw coastal distillate to shine through cleanly.

NOSE: Maritime forward with distinctive hints of iodine, seaweed, beach pebbles, and preserved lemons.

PALATE: Elegant coastal peat, clean smoke, citrus sweetness, and sharp saline notes.

FINISH: Long, warming, and refined, balancing smooth oak with fading embers of peat smoke.
