The fifth release in the Chichibu Singapore Flower Series, this exclusive single cask (#16110) was hand-selected by the LMDW APAC team specifically for the Singapore market. Distilled in 2018 and matured for seven years in a first-fill Umeshu barrel, this limited bottling showcases the expressive, fruit-forward character that Chichibu is renowned for.
On the nose, it opens with damp, mossy earth, gentle smoke and soft floral-herbal notes. As it breathes, layers of stone fruit, butterscotch and vanilla emerge, adding roundness and warmth.
The palate carries a silky, slightly oily texture, offering an immediate burst of barbecue smoke that evolves into cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel, followed by caramel, vanilla and a subtle salinity reminiscent of dried salted plums. The finish is long, creamy and chewy, with lingering impressions of oak and ripe plum.
This is a rare Japanese single cask whisky crafted for connoisseurs seeking depth, elegance, and a distinctive Umeshu-cask influence.
