This particular Oloroso puncheon has imparted Sherry-matured sophistication to the classic honeyed GlenAllachie DNA. Oloroso is a full bodied Sherry wine, originating from the historic spanish city of Jerez, with characteristics which marry elegantly with our spirit. Aged to perfection for 16 years, this cask strength mahogany malt delivers sumptuous notes of indulgent mocha, spicy gingerbread and glazed black cherries.
Colour: Mahogany
Aroma: Layers of dark chocolate, sun dried apricots and cinnamon, with hints of heather honey, rose petal and black cherries.
Palate: Bursting with orange zest, cocoa and honeycomb, followed by nutmeg, banana chips and espresso, with hints of cinnnamon and ginger on the finish.
