Antipodes is a new collection from La Maison du Whisky, marketed for Whiskey Live Paris 2022.

Synthesis is the result of a collaboration with Scottish blender Compass Box. This blended Scotch whisky brings together two single grains, two single malts from the Highlands and two single malts from Speyside. These seemingly disparate parts are blended to create a beautifully harmonious union. Compass Box Synthesis Collection Antipodes is fresh and fruity with an initial nose of earthy peat. Aromas of mint, ginger and cinnamon then come to the fore, evolving into herbs, pear, plum and candied lemon. The palate is lively, starting off with earthy, spicy and slightly camphorated tones. Smoky, ashy and medicinal flavours are followed by hints of honey, vanilla, almonds and apricots. The finish is rich with dry peat, mineral salts, tobacco and lush vegetation.
