A limited-edition single malt from Islay's experimental distillery Bruichladdich, Octomore 12.3 is a single vintage whisky made with a single harvest from a single field on Octomore farm - Church Field to be exact. The whisky was then filled into two types casks, ex-American whiskey casks and one Pedro Ximenez sherry butts from Fernando De Castilla, for five years and then married together. The result of this is notes of lemon, sea salt, dried fruit and dry, tarry peat smoke throughout the palate.
