Produced from a spring variety of barley named “concerto”, this version distilled on 16 July 2014 reveals a peat that fits snugly into the contours of a palette of flavours and aromas that is also tenderly vanilla, delicately floral, refreshingly herbaceous and overflowing with yellow fruits. In turns dry, rooty, empyreumatic (sleet), oily, salty, smoky and camphoric, like Ariadne’s web, peat acts as a point of reference throughout. This sinusoidal journey continues long after in the dried extracts found in the empty glass which reveal sublime aromas of straw and cut hay.

This 2014 vintage single cask was bottled exclusively for La Maison du Whisky's Golden Promise bar. It is one of 197 bottles drawn from Peated second fill bourbon barrel #3531.
