Founded in 1798, Highland Park is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. Staying true to tradition, it still manually malts about 25% of the barley used in its single malt production on-site.
This malt is first dried over peat fire for 8 hours, then over coal for 19 hours. The malted barley sourced from Simpsons malting, however, is unpeated.
This nuanced edition emphasizes the “coastal” and rustic character of this single malt, highly admired by enthusiasts. Sunny yet remarkably fresh with fruity and herbal notes, its aromatic and flavor profile is a marvel of balance.
